1. Always check the seller's buying/selling history. Be WARY of sellers with little or no feedback history selling high priced items. Check to see what previous customers have said and once you bid, you can check to see if they are authentic by pulling their details, see if their phone numbers match.
2. If the details are not correct it's possible that they are FRAUDS. Be careful who you send your hard earned money to.
3. If a seller claims to be a registered business they must have an ABN or ACN, be sure to check them out. If they are NOT on the Business Registry it is quite likely they are FRAUDS.
4. You've found a high priced item going for a bargain price? The seller has no feedback or very little? Before you jump in and bid make sure they are legitimate by following the advice above.
5. Have you ever been emailed by an Ebay member about an item you are bidding on? Are they offering to sell it to you cheaper outside of Ebay? BEWARE!!!!!!!! These people are often fraudsters and if you buy outside of Ebay you are NOT covered by Ebay! Report them.(Click here for the link)
