Robert S. Wakefield. It is in very good condition, with a bright silvery binding, published in 1996. The full title is MAYFLOWER FAMILIES THROUGH FIVE GENERATIONS, VOLUME TEN, Descendants of the Pilgrims who landed at Plymouth, Mass. December 1620.
The Mayflower Society publishes the majority of its
books as a result of an ongoing program to identify the first five
generations of Pilgrim
descendants. This Five Generations Project involves the meticulous
investigation of primary records that substantiate the identity of,
often obscure, individuals and families. The time period these books
cover is usually from about the time of the Mayflower landing, in 1620,
through the era of the American Revolution.
Compiling this information takes enormous effort. Research is made
doubly difficult because of the detective work required when dealing
with centuries-old records that are difficult to identify and
interpret. We believe you will find the Five Generation Project books,
and our other publications, an invaluable tool in your genealogy
research.
The massive undertaking of the Five Generations Project has been
overseen by the California Mayflower Society Historian, Mrs. Edith Bates
Thomas. Her far-sighted and persevering guidance has led to the
compilation of this accurate, evolving record of the Pilgrim Families.
From online reviewers:
"All the volumes in this series are well documented and reliable. All
genealogies contain errors, its just a fact of life, but this series
contains very few as far as I can tell. I use as many sources as I can
find to verify my information, and have found this series of books to
be extremely accurate. There is over 100 years of research in this
series and it shows! If
you have Mayflower ancestry, get the volumes that contain your
ancestor(s), they are well worth the price."
"The series is well-researched and well-documented. It has an index
which allows researchers to locate their family and gives the original
source; it is best used in conjunction with "Vital Records of (town),
Massachusetts to 1850."
