WOW!!!
Here's that perfect lawn ornament you've been looking for (just kidding)! This is an ANTIQUE wicker funeral casket, which measures 6 1/2 feet long. I would guess 1920s vintage, but it could even be earlier. VERY GOOD CONDITION, as you can see......it certainly shows its age with some scattered damage, both sets of cloth straps broken, light rusting inside the metal top to the base (underneath of the metal top is a wood plank). Fortunately, both of the metal handles on either end are fully intact and usable! There might have been some sort of hinge for the top attaching to the bottom, but there is nothing there now.
ALSO INCLUDED is a wonderful antique metal "Funeral Director/Registered Embalmer" advertising temperature-gauge SIGN! Very nice condition for the age, plenty of wear.....but it, too, displays great!
