April 1943 APO 947 (Ft. Spencer) Telephone Directory
This is a 18 page reprint of two rare telephone books. The Nome city telephone directory is 5 pages and the directory for the nearby Army base Ft Spencer is 11 pages. Additionally, I have compiled a list of over 50 additional local names that appeared in some original Nome newspapers published in 1944, some of which are not in the phone books. This reprint is an excellent restoration of the poorly printed and deteriorating phone books, which were originally mimeographed, the ink has faded and the paper has yellowed.
